Absolutely not. Our meetings are open to everyone — regardless of religious background, denomination, or belief. Many of our most regular visitors have no prior religious affiliation at all. We simply ask that visitors come with an open mind and show the same respect for others that we extend to them.

No. All meetings, programs, and Bible study sessions are completely free of charge. There are no membership fees, no collections taken during meetings, and no expectation of financial contribution. Our congregation is funded voluntarily by its own members.

Yes. We believe in Jehovah as the one Almighty God and Creator of all things, and we believe in Jesus Christ as God's Son and the promised Messiah. We differ from many Christian denominations in that we do not believe in the Trinity doctrine — we believe the Bible clearly identifies God and Jesus as distinct beings, with Jehovah being supreme.

A Kingdom Hall is the place of worship used by congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses. Unlike traditional church buildings, Kingdom Halls are typically simple and functional in design, reflecting our belief that worship is about substance rather than ceremony. They serve as meeting places for congregational gatherings, Bible study, and community programs.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not observe most traditional holidays, including Christmas, Easter, and birthdays. This is based on our study of the Bible's origins of these celebrations. We do observe the Memorial of Christ's Death once a year, in obedience to Jesus' direct instruction at the Last Supper. We respect that others hold different views and do not impose our practices on those outside our congregation.

Our meetings are discussion-based and organized. They typically include songs, prayers, and structured presentations or talks on Bible topics. Audience members are invited (but never required) to comment during the study portions. The atmosphere is warm and respectful. Visitors often remark that the meetings are easier to follow and less formal than they expected.

No. Jehovah's Witnesses are a recognized religious organization with over eight million active members in more than 240 countries. We are a registered charitable organization in Canada and operate with full transparency. Our members freely choose to participate and are free to leave at any time. We encourage people to examine our beliefs using the Bible itself rather than accepting anyone's claims without scrutiny — including ours.

The Bible teaches that the dead are unconscious — not in heaven or hell, but in a state like a dreamless sleep, awaiting a future resurrection. We believe God's purpose is to resurrect the dead and restore them to life on a renewed paradise earth. This hope, clearly stated in books like Daniel, Acts, and Revelation, is a central and joyful part of what we believe.

Yes, absolutely. A free home Bible study carries no obligation whatsoever. You can begin, pause, or end the study at any time. Many people choose to have one or two sessions simply to satisfy their curiosity. We offer it because we believe the Bible's content is genuinely valuable — what you do with what you learn is entirely your decision.

Yes. While our congregation meetings are primarily conducted in English, our global organization provides Bible study materials in over 1,000 languages, including many widely spoken in the Langley area.
